Last fall, Ernie Harwell agreed to do a long interview with the Free Press in his apartment at Novi’s Fox Run Village — his last extensive session with the local media.
He answered dozens of questions from sports editor Gene Myers, photographer Mandi Wright and picture editor Diane Weiss. The video images and words from this interview were not to be revealed until after his passing, which came Tuesday at age 92.
